Golf Tip of the Week

How to find your perfect stance width

There’s no universal stance; it all depends on your body dynamics. The wider you stand, the more likely you are to shift your weight onto your trail leg during your backswing—what I call a “rear-poster.” The narrower you stand, the more likely you’ll keep your weight over your front leg — a “frontposter.” Your ideal stance width? Take a normal walking stride, stop after one step and pivot into a golf stance. There it is. Adjust your weight shift accordingly.
